We are thrilled to announce the winners of the 16th Bulgarian Creative Writing Competition! Our warmest congratulations go to the talented students whose words stood out this year, along with a big thank-you to everyone who made this journey possible—participants, teachers, and judges alike—for another memorable BCWC edition.
Over the weekend, our respected National Judges carefully reviewed the works of all 126 national qualifiers and selected this year’s top entries. United by their passion for literature, they explored each story with great attention and care. We extend our sincere gratitude for the time, dedication, and expertise they generously contributed.
The winning entries stood out for their originality, precision, and compelling storytelling. Each piece revealed a confident authorial voice and a depth of feeling that invited readers to pause, reflect, and connect. Exploring these stories reminded us why creative writing matters—it opens doors to new worlds and fresh ways of seeing.
